Malhuret is a relatively "moderate" centrist representing a highly rural area. This speech is remarkably direct, well-thought and speaks to what Europe, and in particular the EU, must do. And it looks like the willing are doing it. There is no longer a strong Transatlantic friend to rely on; that former friend is busily trying to become a vicious Big Brother along the Putin and Pinochet and possibly Dada line. I am encouraged by the dynamic in Europe, and it seems to have taken to the streets in the right places. Thanks for reboosting Sénateur Malhuret, Liam. We could use a dozen or so like him here right now, and a few Charlie Anguses and Mark Carneys, too.
